Your next customer is asking ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity about businesses like yours. Those engines read a website very differently than a search crawler does. This scan reads your page the way they do and tells you what they would find.
Being readable is not what gets you recommended, and we will not tell you it is. It is what decides whether the description is right when you do come up.
People used to get ten blue links and pick one. Now they ask an assistant a full question and take the answer it gives them. There is no page two to climb.
Language models do not read your site the way Google does. Vercel and MERJ instrumented more than 500 million AI crawler fetches and found the crawlers downloaded JavaScript files and never ran them (Vercel, The rise of the AI crawler). A site that assembles its content in the browser therefore arrives as a blank page. That is the finding underneath this whole product and it is the one we would defend anywhere.
What we will not tell you is that fixing all of it puts you in the answer. We tested that claim on ourselves. Across 34 assistant runs covering five Roseburg trades, the rank correlation between a business's score and how often an assistant named it was 0.069, on a scale where 1 is a perfect relationship and 0 is none at all. Our six highest-scoring local sites were named zero times. A site scoring 45 was named in four runs out of six. Both engines were reading star ratings and review counts out of a places index, which is something this scan does not measure at all.
That pilot was small, so it did not prove the score is worthless either. It proved we have no business selling it as a prediction. So this is an audit, not an oracle: it finds real defects on real pages and tells you what an engine can read off yours. We scanned 58 Douglas County businesses to find out how bad it is locally. Here is what came back.
The full study is published, with the method, the confidence interval, the reasons it might be wrong, and the county dataset it came from: read the null result in full. We would rather you check our work than take our word for it.
Before asking anyone for a dollar, we ran this scanner on real Douglas County businesses. These are the actual results, not a projection.
That first score was a D. We had no business entity in our code, no phone number a machine could read, and no structured pricing. We fixed exactly what this scanner told us to fix, which is the same work we sell you. It took one afternoon.
Read that as what it is: we found real defects on our own site and closed them. It is not proof that anyone started recommending us, and we are not going to present it that way. We have never measured a business becoming more visible in AI answers, ours included, and until we run the experiment that would show it we will keep saying so.

Right now we still fail 3 of our own checks, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The score itself moves around by a few points between scans, because one of the performance checks depends on the network, which is a good reason not to read too much into any single number including your own.
