Of the 1,005 licensed Douglas County contractors we could look up, 523 have no website on their Google listing. That is more than half the trade, and most of them are busy. So this page is not going to tell you that you are invisible or that you are losing customers every day. We do not know that, and neither does anyone else who has told you so.
What follows is the free thing to do first, one thing you can verify about your Facebook page in ten seconds, and what a real site costs if you decide you want one.
Claim and complete your Google Business Profile. Hours, phone, service area, categories, photos, and reply to the reviews you already have. It takes about twenty minutes and it costs nothing.
This is not a warm-up for a pitch. It is genuinely the highest-value thing a local business can do for its online presence, Google documents the profile as an input to its AI answers, and when we ran real assistant queries about Roseburg trades, both engines answered out of a places index carrying star ratings and review counts. One of them said plainly that it picked the contractor with the largest number of reviews.
Do that whether or not you ever call us. If your profile is already complete and your phone still rings enough, you may not need anything else on this page.
Try this now, on your own phone. Open a private browsing window, the one that does not sign you in, and go to your own Facebook page. Try to read your reviews. Try to read your about section.
Most people find they cannot. Logged-out visitors are commonly served an error or a login prompt instead of the reviews and business details you have spent years collecting. Everyone who is not already a Facebook user, and everyone who does not feel like signing in to look up a roofer, sees that instead of you.
There is a second thing, and it is smaller but it is real: you do not own the page. You cannot move it, you cannot change what sits around it, and if the account goes sideways there is no support line in Roseburg to call.
A Facebook page is a good place to post finished work. It is a poor place to be someone's only record that your business exists.
A build is one price and hosting is the other. We are not going to bury the build inside a cheap monthly and hope you stay long enough to cover it, because that arrangement only works out for us.
For comparison, The Roseburg Plug builds websites under its own name starting at $1,500. This is the same work through a narrower door, which is why it is priced where it is.
About two weeks from the first call to going live, and most of that is waiting on you rather than on us. We would rather say that now than discover it together in week three.
What you do, which towns you cover, what you will not take on, and what you want the phone to ring about. We quote it on that call. If we think you do not need a website, we will say so on that call too, and that has happened.
Text them to the number below, straight off your phone. This is the part that holds builds up. We will not put stock photography of somebody else's job site on a page with your name on it, because everyone can tell, and looking generated is worse than looking plain.
You read every word before it goes live and tell us what is wrong. We would rather fix a wrong service or a town you do not actually cover now than have it sit there for a year.
We point the domain, turn on the certificate, and it is yours. Changes after that are a phone call, not a support ticket.
A lot of people are selling that right now. We tested it on ourselves before selling anything. Across 34 assistant runs covering five Roseburg trades, the relationship between how well a site scored on our own audit and how often an assistant actually named that business was essentially zero. Our highest-scoring local sites were named least often. What visibly drove placement was Google review count, which is why the free advice at the top of this page is the first thing on it.
There is one exception, and it is the reason we build sites the way we do. Vercel and MERJ instrumented more than 500 million AI crawler fetches and found the crawlers download JavaScript files and never execute them (Vercel, The rise of the AI crawler). A site that assembles its content in the browser therefore arrives at those crawlers as a blank page. That is a real defect with a real mechanism, and it is why we put your words in the HTML itself rather than building them on the fly. It is still not a promise that anybody will name you.
We published the whole study, the method, the numbers that did not go our way, and the county dataset behind it. You can read it and disagree with us.
"Every business in this town is getting described to a customer by a machine that has never walked through the front door. We would rather that description be right."
So the honest reasons to build one are the plain ones. You own it. A customer can check you out at eleven at night without signing in to anything. And a search engine can only send someone to a page that exists. That is the whole pitch.
Call or text. There is no form, no account to create and no card. You get Shane, who will either quote you or tell you that you do not need this.
